A life-long fitness enthusiast, Kayce was drawn to Pilates after knee and back injuries from running and high-impact fitness classes. It only took her a few sessions on the reformer to realize that Pilates is the exercise that would keep her body healthy and strong, while being gentle and rehabilitative. When Kayce realized that Pilates was the exercise program accessible to everybody, she immediately wanted to pursue the practice of Pilates but also the instruction, so she could share the benefits she had experienced with others. Kayce decided on Club Pilates’ 500-hour comprehensive certification, partly due to Club Pilates’ emphasis on taking the spine in all four directions during each class. This supports her belief that a person is only as young as their spine is healthy. She also believes that a strong core and healthy spine are the keys to longevity and what Members can gain at Club Pilates. Kayce is a native of Murfreesboro and mother of six. She has been an Instructor in the fitness industry for over 30 years and holds personal training and group fitness certifications with AEA, ACE, and AFAA. Carly first discovered her love for Pilates in 2009 while attending Loyola Marymount University. During her time as an undergraduate in the dance program, Carly regularly frequented the on-campus Pilates studio that was only available to those in her department. While doing so, she soon learned how important the modality was for her body and her dance training. With the combination of Pilates and her dance technique classes, Carly gained strength and length in her muscles and increased her flexibility, and she knew Pilates was something she could never live without. After graduating from LMU in three years, Carly got a job with a touring dance company, Tremaine Dance Conventions. While touring, Carly found time to take Pilates classes at various studios in Los Angeles, but it wasn't until her first class at Club Pilates Villa Park in October 2015, that she knew she wanted to take her passion for Pilates a step further. Soon after her awesome experience at Club Pilates, Carly quit her job on tour and enrolled in the Club Pilates 500-hour teacher training program in January 2016. Carly completed the program in just three months and began her teaching career March 2016. As the years progressed, Carly taught at three Club Pilates studios in Los Angeles and Orange County, as well as two studios in Colorado. In August 2017, Carly moved to New York City where she worked as a Pilates Manager for Equinox, where she focused her Pilates training on teaching private sessions and running the Pilates department. After a year in NYC, Carly realized that the busy city life wasn’t for her. Knowing she always wanted to live in Nashville, Carly made the life-changing decision to move to here. She is thrilled to be in Nashville and is excited to continue teaching and sharing her love for Pilates!
