    Daniel Jacob is the co-founder and CEO of Arista Recovery. In this capacity, Daniel provides leadership to Arista’s financial, operations and Clinical departments. Daniel has proven expertise in multi-state, multi-site acquisitions, operational integrations, de novo development, revenue cycle and utilization management, payor relations, real estate, and finance. Dan also serves as President of Physicians Dialysis, a Florida-based national dialysis provider. In 2017, Dan spearheaded the acquisition of several dialysis centers from DaVita in an FTC- mandated divestiture. After successfully integrating the acquired units that portfolio was rolled up with several legacy Physicians Dialysis units and sold to Fresenius Kidney Care. Daniel was previously Managing Director at Meridian Capital and Vice President and Team Leader in M&T Bank’s Commercial Real Estate Division.

    Manuel brings over a decade of experience in finance, accounting, strategic planning, health sector management and implementation of internal controls. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Duke University, the Fuqua School of Business with an emphasis in Health Sector Management and Finance. He is also a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Global Management Accountant. In the past, Manuel has led the Financial Planning & Analysis, Accounting, Accounts Payable and Payroll Departments of a company with over 4,500 employees and 180 locations. He also worked at one of the Big Four accounting firms. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Health Financial Management Association.

    Alyssa is the Chief Marketing Officer of Arista Recovery and has over a decade of experience in marketing. She has served as the National Director of Marketing for the largest privately held addiction center in the nation and is the CEO of her own marketing agency. Starting as an intern at a marketing agency, Alyssa quickly excelled in analytics, project management, content creation, and social media marketing. She holds multiple certifications, including Salesforce Administration and Development, Google Ads and Analytics, and HubSpot Inbound Marketing, allowing her to lead data-driven marketing strategies and company integrations across industries. Alyssa has spearheaded integrated campaigns in behavioral health, medical spas, and fitness, elevating brands into industry leaders through strategic marketing, video production, podcast production, celebrity endorsements, and national media exposure. Her work has helped secure features on A&E’s Intervention, Good Day New York, Jersey Shore Family Vacation, Bloomberg TV, Barstool Sports, NBCNews.com, and more.

    Vice President of Operations

    Robert has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Phoenix with an emphasis in Human Services and a Master’s in Social Work degree from Arizona State University. Whether working on the Crisis Response Team in a hospital setting or working with addicts and their families, his quiet confidence and compassionate heart provide a safe atmosphere for those around him. Robert has numerous years of experience facilitating individual, group, and 12-step work in the addiction field. Robert has hands-on experience in all aspects of the substance abuse field, holding a variety of clinical and administrative positions, delivering and managing all aspects of the business including the role of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer in several successful centers throughout the country. Robert has transformed the delivery of treatment services through innovative programming and strategically leveraging resources to improve the care of clients. State licensing, credentialing, start-ups, insurance contracting, and all areas of operations are areas in which Robert is able to assist his clients. Robert has a strong commitment to addiction recovery and believes we all deserve to live a valuable, productive life in the community. In his off time, Robert is devoted to his family. He is blessed with 3 daughters and a wonderful wife. They enjoy the outdoors and raising livestock together on their farm. Recovery is a family affair and Robert’s family is the embodiment of this philosophy.

  • Dr. Jordan C. Calabrese, D.O.

    Medical Director

    Dr. Jordan C. Calabrese is a distinguished board-certified psychiatrist with a strong commitment to enhancing the lives of his patients through his clinical work, research, and teaching efforts. Dr. Calabrese’s journey in the medical field began at the University of Miami, where he earned a B.S. in Kinesiology (Exercise Physiology) and a minor in Business Administration. Subsequently, Dr. Calabrese pursued his D.O. medical degree at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. From 2018 to 2022, he fulfilled the Psychiatry Residency Training Program at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center in Aventura, FL. In 2023, Dr. Calabrese completed his Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at the Kansas University Medical Center. Presently, Dr. Calabrese delivers psychiatric consultation, medical directorship, and addiction treatment services in Kansas through Integrated Psychiatric Consultants. As an Affiliated Lecturer for HCA GME, he also shares his insights on medicine and psychiatry with students. Dr. Calabrese has presented at several forums, including the American Psychiatric Association Annual Meeting in 2017 and multiple local and regional conferences. His publications and presentations cover a wide range of topics, from opioid use disorder in adolescents to dissociative identity disorder and the role of anti-craving medications in alcohol use disorder patients. Previously, Dr. Calabrese worked as an Educator at Nova Southeastern University and Psychiatrist at a treatment center in Miami, FL. He has also worked as an Assistant Instructor in the Motivational Interviewing Training Course at Kansas University Medical Center, contributing to the training of the next generation of medical professionals. Outside of work, Dr. Calabrese volunteers his time to organizations serving cancer patients, educating medical students, and other noteworthy causes.

    Community Outreach Coordinator

    Jamie graduated from the University of Kansas with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and spent five years working with adolescents who had experienced abuse or behavioral disorders. After exploring other paths, she rediscovered her true calling in 2019—supporting individuals living with substance use and mental health challenges.Her passion is deeply personal, rooted in her own journey of recovery. Jamie chose to change her life and has been sober since November 7, 2006. For nearly two decades, her mission has been to help others discover the same hope she found: hope for a life filled with love, laughter, and joy. Having grown up surrounded by addiction, Jamie also understands the profound impact it has on families. She believes addiction is a family disease and encourages loved ones to engage in their own recovery journey alongside those struggling.Over the past 19 years, Jamie has witnessed countless miracles of healing and transformation. She takes great pride in walking alongside individuals and families as they discover the hope and freedom that recovery makes possible.

    Sarah began her professional career in this substance use disorder field 5 years ago. She has continued to move forward with making positive changes for the families and individuals she serves. Sarah was born and raised in the Kansas City area and has two beautiful children, Rome and Bentlee. Sarah identifies as a person in long-term recovery and strives daily to inspire hope in others. Sarah’s personal story of overcoming challenges and her recovery journey are tools she utilizes when speaking with clients and their families professionally. She brings a valuable insight into each client’s journey and has had a lasting impact on so many individuals. Sarah’s passion for those who struggle like her to overcome and find their pathway to recovery shines through in all that she does. Sarah was recently awarded a scholarship and is pursuing her bachelor’s degree in business management. She has worked in various roles throughout her life, however, believes she has truly found her purpose in the recovery field. Sarah enjoys spending time outside whether walking, playing softball, or just soaking up the sun. She is active in the Kansas City recovery community and shares her experience, strength, and hope with all those she encounters. Sarah is dedicated to helping those who, like her, have struggled with substance use find their pathway to recovery. She believes in the hope of recovery and the power of spreading that hope throughout the community.

    Alumni Coordinator

    JoJo is a person in long term recovery, who got into this field to give back what was given to her, recovery. She oversees our alumni program for clients who complete our programs in Paola and Overland Park. She is a Certified Peer Specialist, who has been in the field for almost four years. JoJo previously worked at organizations like Heartland for Behavior Change and Comprehensive Mental Health. Her career started as a behavioral health technician and moved into a consumer advocate specialist role before she joined Arista Recovery as Alumni Coordinator. Her passion is helping others, and her greatest joy is seeing the lights come back in someone’s eyes after being in such a dark place for so long. She is born and raised in Kansas City and loves to spend time with her daughter. She enjoys traveling to destinations with a beach.

    Josh Swearingen is the Community Outreach Coordinator for Ohio at Arista Recovery, where he bridges the gap between individuals seeking help and the services that support their recovery journey. Based in Columbus, Josh uses his personal experience and professional commitment to connect with community organizations, healthcare providers, and families, raising awareness of addiction recovery and helping people access life-changing resources. He is acclaimed for his authentic approach—Josh doesn’t just inform, he listens, shares, and empowers. Having navigated his own recovery, he brings empathy, credibility, and a profound understanding of both the challenges and opportunities involved. Outside of Arista, Josh invests in local outreach: speaking engagements, mentoring, partnership building, and education efforts that help reduce stigma and improve access to care.Josh believes recovery isn’t just about treatment—it’s about community, purpose, and connection. In his role, he works tirelessly to ensure that no one in Ohio feels isolated or alone in seeking help.
